Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical or electrical systems on new vessels.
- Conduct thorough trials and inspections to ensure all equipment functions according to design specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the commissioning phase.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, technical documentation, and final commissioning checklists.
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, production teams, and external vendors to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all work complies with the quality and safety protocols of the shipyard.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- Commissioning Engineer: Must possess a three-year Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a state board of technical education.
- Commissioning Assistant: Must have passed SSLC (10th Standard) and hold an ITI (NTC) certificate in the relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Mechanic, Electrician).
- Experience: A minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field such as a shipyard, heavy engineering, or a related marine industry.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 45 years as of the date of the interview. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India norms.

- Prior experience working in a shipbuilding or ship repair yard.
