Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT): Assist senior engineers in the assembly, testing, and calibration of advanced electronic and mechanical systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting circuits, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Technician ‘C’: Operate and maintain machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders based on your trade (Fitter, Turner, Machinist). You will be tasked with performing precision fitting, assembling components as per engineering drawings, and conducting routine equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT): Must possess a 3-year Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution in one of the following disciplines: Electronics, Mechanical, or Electrical.
- Technician ‘C’: Candidates must have passed SSLC (10th Standard) and hold an ITI certificate plus a one-year apprenticeship, or have three years of National Apprenticeship Certificate Course in a relevant trade.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit for applicants is 28 years as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates will be applicable as per Government of India guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience in a similar defence, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and safety protocols.
- For EATs, proficiency with testing equipment and diagnostic software is an advantage.
- For Technicians, experience with CNC machine operation is highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits
BEL offers a competitive compensation package that reflects its status as a leading PSU. The pay scales for the positions are as follows:
- Engineering Assistant Trainee (EAT): ₹ 24,500 – 3% – ₹ 90,000/- per month
- Technician ‘C’: ₹ 21,500 – 3% – ₹ 82,000/- per month
In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to other allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), medical benefits, Provident Fund (PF), and Gratuity as per company rules.
