Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the Regional Office.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial statements, and expenditure reports in compliance with government standards.
• Ensure timely processing of payments, payroll, and statutory deductions.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions to ensure smooth financial management.
• Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls and procedures.
• Supervise and guide junior accounts staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Provide expert advice on financial matters to the senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Officers from the Central Government holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
• OR with two years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-9 of the Pay Matrix.
• OR with three years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level-8 of the Pay Matrix.
• Officers from State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, or Autonomous Organisations holding regular posts in corresponding grades with the requisite experience.
• A basic understanding of government accounting rules and procedures.
• The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of the application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (ICWA), or Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.
• Successful completion of the Subordinate Audit Service (SAS) examination.
• Proven experience in handling finance, accounts, and budgeting in a government or public sector environment.
• Familiarity with modern accounting software and financial management systems.

Salary and Benefits

Successful candidates will be compensated according to the Pay Matrix Level-10, with a salary range from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
