Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and guide design students across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Develop, refine, and deliver industry-relevant design curriculum and course materials.
- Conduct high-quality academic research, contribute to publications, and engage in design consultancy projects.
- Foster collaborations with industry partners to create opportunities for students and the institute.
- Participate in the academic and administrative functions of the institute to uphold its standard of excellence.
- Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations, providing constructive feedback and support.
Required Qualifications
- Principal Designer: A Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Design with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in academics or industry, including at least 5 years as a Senior Designer or equivalent. Age limit is not to exceed 55 years.
- Senior Designer (All Disciplines): A Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Design with a minimum of 10 years of experience in academics or industry, with at least 5 years as a Designer or Faculty. Age limit is not to exceed 50 years.
- Associate Senior Designer: A Degree or Diploma in Design with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in academics or industry. Age limit is not to exceed 45 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- A PhD in a relevant design discipline.
- A strong portfolio showcasing significant professional or academic work.
- Published research papers in reputable journals or conferences.
- Experience in curriculum development and academic administration.
- Proven success in securing research grants or sponsored industry projects.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be offered a competitive salary based on the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix.
Principal Designer: Pay Level-13A1 (₹1,31,100 – ₹2,16,600)
Senior Designer: Pay Level-12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200)
Associate Senior Designer: Pay Level-11 (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700)
Other Benefits: In addition to the base salary, employees are entitled to other allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per Government of India norms.
