Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on matters related to power transmission, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in drafting, vetting, and finalizing various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
- Support senior legal officers in litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Provide legal opinions and advice on day-to-day operational issues to ensure adherence to statutory norms.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and update internal stakeholders accordingly.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and government authorities as required.
- Maintain and organize all legal documentation and records for the department.
Required Qualifications
- A full-time Three-Year LLB or a Five-Year Integrated Law/LLB degree from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA in the qualifying law degree.
- Candidates must have appeared for the CLAT 2025 examination for postgraduate programs.
- Minimum Age Limit: 18 years.
- Maximum Age Limit: 28 years.
- Age Relaxation: OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 Years, SC candidates: 5 Years, and PwBD candidates: 10 Years, as per government directives.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in Law (LLM), particularly with a specialization in Corporate or Commercial Law.
- Prior internship experience or short-term work experience in the legal department of a PSU or a reputed corporate firm.
- Familiarity with the legal framework governing the Indian power sector.
Salary and Benefits
The compensation structure is highly competitive. During the one-year training period, selected candidates will be placed in the E1 Grade with a pay scale of ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 per month. Upon successful completion of training and regularization as an Assistant Manager (Law), the pay scale will be upgraded to the E2 Grade of ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 per month.
