Job Summary
This NIT Karnataka recruitment offers a significant opportunity for engineering graduates to join the Department of Information Technology as a Project Associate-I. Key Responsibilities
- Designing and developing robust IoT frameworks for identifying e-waste components.
- Implementing and rigorously testing machine learning and deep learning models for automated sorting tasks.
- Performing data collection, systematic analysis, and full system integration using Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Collaborating closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to meet project milestones and prepare detailed reports.
- Assisting in the procurement and management of project-related hardware and software resources.
- Maintaining clear and concise project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- A B.E. or B.Tech. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Alternatively, an M.E. or M.Tech. degree in a relevant engineering or technology discipline.
- Candidates must be no more than 35 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience with IoT platforms and various embedded systems.
- Strong foundational knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) algorithms.
- High proficiency in programming with Python, MATLAB, and/or C++.
- A valid and qualifying GATE score is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of ₹31,000 per month, supplemented with House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per official norms. This position is initially offered for a one-year contract, which may be extended based on the candidate’s performance and the project’s requirements.
