Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level research on real-time simulation models for power systems.
- Develop and validate advanced models of power electronic converters.
- Work extensively with Power Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL) simulation applications.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator and research team to meet project milestones.
- Document research findings, prepare technical reports, and contribute to publications.
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of the research laboratory equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and control systems.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree (M.E. / M.Tech.) in Power Electronics, Power Systems, Electrical Drives and Control, Instrumentation & Control, or an equivalent specialization.
- A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a 6.5/10 CGPA in the qualifying master’s degree.
- The age of the applicant must be between 21 and 35 years as of the application deadline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who have a valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are strongly preferred and will be eligible for a higher stipend.
- Prior experience or a strong theoretical understanding of PHIL simulation is advantageous.
Salary and Benefits
NIT Calicut offers a competitive, two-tier stipend based on qualifications. This structure ensures that candidates with national-level examination scores are rewarded appropriately.
For GATE/NET Qualified Candidates: ₹31,000 per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per institute norms.
For Other Candidates: ₹25,000 per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per institute norms.
