Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement national policies and strategies for community health processes.
- Provide high-level technical assistance and support to states and Union Territories.
- Strengthen the ASHA program and other community-based health initiatives.
- Create and disseminate operational guidelines for Comprehensive Primary Healthcare (CPHC).
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of primary healthcare programs across the country.
- Design and conduct capacity-building workshops for state and district health officials.
- Coordinate with development partners, NGOs, and other stakeholders to align health efforts.
Required Qualifications
- A Medical Degree (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS) with a Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in Public Health, Community Medicine, or an equivalent field.
- OR an MD/MS in a relevant clinical specialty.
- OR an M.Sc in Nursing complemented by a Post-Graduate degree/diploma in Public Health.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in public health, community health, or health systems strengthening.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be no more than 45 years old as of the application closing date. Age relaxation is applicable as per organizational norms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working directly with the National Health Mission (NHM) or state health departments.
- In-depth knowledge of India’s ASHA program or Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs).
- Proven ability in policy formulation, program monitoring, and evaluation.

Salary and Benefits
