Job Summary

The Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position for a GUJCOST-funded research project. This opening for IITRAM Recruitment 2024 seeks dedicated individuals to fill a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Vacancy in Gujarat. The role is based in Ahmedabad and focuses on the “Design, Development and Investigation of Adsorption Based Atmospheric Water Generator” project under Principal Investigator Dr. R. K. Parsania.

Key Responsibilities

Design and model components for an adsorption-based atmospheric water generator using advanced software.
Develop and fabricate project prototypes and experimental setups.
Conduct systematic experiments and analyze system performance and data.
Prepare detailed technical reports, research papers, and project documentation.
Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator to meet project milestones and objectives.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications

Age Limit: Must not exceed 28 years as of the application deadline (May 10, 2024). Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
Educational Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a valid GATE score.
- OR
- M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Specializations in Thermal Engineering, Cryogenics, Heat Power, CAD/CAM, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
Hands-on experience with analysis and simulation software like ANSYS or COMSOL.
Strong foundational knowledge in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and material science.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: A consolidated monthly emolument of ₹25,000.
Benefits: House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided as per GUJCOST norms.
