Key Responsibilities
- Assistant Director of Factories (Chemical):
- Inspect industrial premises to ensure compliance with factory safety and environmental laws.
- Investigate accidents and incidents involving chemical hazards, preparing detailed reports.
- Advise factory management on best practices for handling and storing chemicals safely.
- Enforce regulations related to worker health and safety in chemical industries.
- Scientific Officer (DNA):

Required Qualifications
- For Assistant Director of Factories (Chemical):
- A Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or institution.
- OR a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized university.
- For Scientific Officer (DNA):
- A 2nd Class M.Sc. Degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, or Forensic Science with a clear specialization in DNA analysis from a recognized university.
- OR a B.Sc. Degree in the subjects above combined with two years of proven research or analytical experience in DNA profiling from a recognized institution.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 45 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong understanding of the customs, traditions, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh is desirable.
- Suitability for appointment considering the unique conditions prevailing in the state.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be placed in competitive government pay scales.
- Assistant Director of Factories: Pay Band Level-18 (Rs. 10300-34800 + Rs. 5000 Grade Pay).
- Scientific Officer: Pay Band Level-12 (Rs. 10300-34800 + Rs. 4400 Grade Pay).
