Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage naval architecture projects from initial design conception through to final production and delivery.
- Develop detailed ship designs, including hull forms, structural plans, and system integrations using modern software tools.
- Oversee ship production and repair activities to ensure strict adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct advanced hydrodynamic and structural analysis to optimize vessel performance, stability, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Naval Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.
- A minimum of seven years of post-qualification experience in a Shipyard, Shipping Company, Engineering Company, or a Government/Semi-Government establishment.
- Experience must be in the areas of ship design, planning, production, or repair.
- The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years as of 19 June 2024. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms for reserved categories.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in specialized ship design software such as NAPA, AVEVA, TRIBON, CADDS, or AutoCAD.

Salary and Benefits
The position is in the E-2 Grade with a pay scale of ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 per month. In addition to the basic pay, the compensation package includes:
