Key Responsibilities
- Consultant (Medical): Provide expert oversight and strategic direction for the cancer registry project, ensuring all medical and ethical guidelines are met.
- Project Research Scientist: Lead research activities, manage data collection and analysis, prepare reports, and coordinate with the project team to meet research objectives.
- Project Technical Support (I, II, III): Assist in fieldwork, collect data from communities, manage laboratory samples (if applicable), maintain records, and provide day-to-day operational support to the research scientists.
Required Qualifications
- Consultant (Medical): MD/MS in Community Medicine/PSM/Pathology or equivalent. Retired Government employees with relevant experience are also eligible.
- Project Research Scientist-III (Medical): MD/MS/DNB after MBBS with one year of experience, or a postgraduate diploma after MBBS with two years of experience, or an MBBS degree with four years of experience.
- Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): First-class Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Sociology with 2 years of experience, or a Second-class M.Sc. with a Ph.D.
- Project Technical Support-III: A three-year graduate degree in Life Science/Biotechnology/Sociology/Social Work with three years of experience, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject.
- Project Technical Support-II: 12th pass in Science with a Diploma (MLT/DMLT) and five years of relevant experience.
- Project Technical Support-I: 10th pass with a Diploma (MLT/DMLT/ANM) and two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on public health projects, particularly in cancer research or registries.
- Proficiency in local languages of the Kokrajhar district, Assam.
- Strong skills in data management, documentation, and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
Salary and Benefits
The monthly consolidated salary is competitive and varies by position. House Rent Allowance (HRA) is also provided as per norms.
- Consultant (Medical): ₹1,00,000/- per month
- Project Research Scientist-III (Medical): ₹93,000/- per month + HRA
- Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): ₹56,000/- per month + HRA
- Project Technical Support-III: ₹28,000/- per month + HRA
- Project Technical Support-II: ₹20,000/- per month + HRA
- Project Technical Support-I: ₹18,000/- per month + HRA
