Key Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments related to bio-electrochemical processes for carbon capture and utilization.
• Handle and operate electrochemical workstations and microbial fuel cells.
• Perform material characterization using various analytical techniques.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data meticulously.
• Prepare detailed reports, research papers, and presentations on project findings.
• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and other team members to meet project milestones.
• Maintain accurate lab records and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology.
• OR M.Sc. in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biotechnology.
• Mandatory for M.Sc. candidates: Must have qualified in a National Eligibility Test (NET) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
• Maximum age limit of 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates as per Government of India norms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior research experience in the field of electrochemistry.
• Hands-on experience with microbial fuel cells (MFCs).
• Familiarity with material synthesis and characterization techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a competitive stipend and benefits package as per DST norms: Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000 per month. House Rent Allowance (HRA): Admissible as per the prevailing Government of India rules. The position is initially for one year and is extendable up to three years based on performance.
