Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage experiments related to electro-organic synthesis as per the project’s objectives.
- Perform detailed analysis and interpretation of research data, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist the Principal Investigator in drafting scientific reports, research papers, and presentations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the research team to achieve project milestones.
- Stay updated with relevant scientific literature and advancements in the field.
Required Qualifications
- For Junior Research Fellow (JRF): M.Sc. in Chemistry (with specialization in Organic/Physical Chemistry) or M.Pharm. Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks and a valid NET/GATE/GPAT qualification. The maximum age limit is 28 years.
- For Project Associate-I (PA-I): M.Sc. in Chemistry (specializing in Organic/Physical Chemistry) or B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks. The maximum age limit is 35 years.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates is applicable as per Government of India regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior research experience in the fields of organic synthesis or electrochemistry is highly desirable.
- Candidates with a strong publication record or experience in handling sophisticated analytical instruments will be given preference.
Salary and Benefits
The fellowship and emoluments are structured according to SERB norms and are highly competitive. The monthly remuneration includes House Rent Allowance (HRA).
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000/- per month + HRA (Total Emoluments approx. ₹46,990/-)
- Project Associate-I (with NET/GATE): ₹31,000/- per month + HRA (Total Emoluments approx. ₹39,370/-)
- Project Associate-I (Non-NET/GATE): ₹25,000/- per month + HRA (Total Emoluments approx. ₹31,750/-)
