Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary services, including diagnostics, treatment, and preventive healthcare for livestock.
- Advise and guide dairy farmers on best practices in animal nutrition, breeding, and management.
- Implement and monitor animal health programs and vaccination schedules to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, cases, and health reports for the cooperative.
- Conduct farm visits to assess herd health and provide on-site consultation.
- Collaborate with the union staff to enhance milk production quality and quantity.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a recognized university.
- Must be registered with the Veterinary Council of India or the Tamil Nadu State Veterinary Council.
- Minimum Age Limit: 21 years as of the notification date.
- Maximum Age Limit: 30 years as of the notification date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with dairy cattle in a cooperative or large-scale farm setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective farmer engagement.
- Proficiency in the Tamil language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Possession of a valid two-wheeler and a corresponding driving license.
Salary and Benefits
Successful candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹43,000. This is a fixed remuneration package for the temporary engagement. In addition to the salary, consultants may be eligible for performance-based incentives or allowances as per the union’s policies, including a potential allowance for using a personal two-wheeler for official duties.
