Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop the experimental test setup for studying flow-induced vibrations.
- Conduct thorough experimental investigations and collect performance data.
- Perform numerical analysis and simulations using Finite Element Method (FEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Analyze research findings, prepare detailed technical reports, and document results.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and other team members to meet project milestones.
- Assist in the preparation of research papers for publication in academic journals and conferences.
Required Qualifications
- A B.E./B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a valid and qualifying GATE score.
- OR an M.E./M.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- The candidate’s age must be between 21 and 28 years.
- Strong foundational knowledge of solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and machine design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization or coursework in Machine Design or Solid Mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with numerical analysis software like ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar CFD/FEM tools.
- Previous research experience or familiarity with Flow-Induced Vibration (FIV) concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship as per government norms.
- Salary: ₹37,000 per month.
