Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research related to hydro-meteorological extremes and climate change impacts.
• Apply advanced hydrological modelling techniques for data simulation and analysis.
• Utilize Remote Sensing & GIS applications to process and interpret spatial data.
• Manage and analyze large-scale hydro-meteorological datasets with precision.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of scientists and researchers on project goals.

Required Qualifications

• A Post Graduate Degree in a professional course (M.E./M.Tech) in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Irrigation Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
• Must be selected through a national eligibility process such as CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) or GATE.
• Alternatively, selection through a national-level examination conducted by Central Government bodies like DST, DBT, DRDO, MHRD, IIT, IISc, etc.
• The maximum age limit is 35 years as on the date of the interview. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government rules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hydrological modelling software and techniques.
• Proficiency in using Remote Sensing & GIS tools for environmental analysis.
• Proven ability to handle and analyze large hydro-meteorological datasets.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or R.
