Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in day-to-day research activities.
• Conduct numerical modeling and simulations related to rock mechanics and underground structures.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental and field data.
• Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations.
• Maintain project documentation and manage laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with the research team to meet project milestones and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• A First-Class B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• A First-Class M.E./M.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years old. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in Geotechnical Engineering, Rock Mechanics, or Tunnelling & Underground Space Technology.
• A valid GATE score is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in numerical modeling software such as FLAC3D, UDEC, or Plaxis.
• Working knowledge of programming languages like Python or MATLAB for data analysis.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary and additional benefits as outlined below:
Base Salary: ₹20,000 per month.
House Rent Allowance (HRA): Provided as per SERB, Government of India norms.
Duration: The appointment is initially for one year and may be extended up to three years based on performance and project requirements.
