Job Summary

The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), through its Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), invites applications for its 2024 Internship Program in Delhi. This is a prestigious opportunity for Engineering and General Graduates to gain hands-on research experience in a premier defence laboratory. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 and contribute to cutting-edge projects under expert mentorship.

– Engineering Graduate Interns (06 Vacancies)
– General Graduate Interns (02 Vacancies)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior scientists in research and development projects related to defence technologies.
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and document findings under supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on material science, electronics, mechanical systems, or applied physics initiatives.
• Prepare reports and presentations on assigned research topics.
• Support administrative tasks (for General Graduate Interns) in HR, finance, or library sciences as applicable.

Required Qualifications

• For Engineering Graduate Interns:
  – B.E./B.Tech in one of the following disciplines:
  – Electrical Engineering
  – Electronics Engineering
  – Mechanical Engineering
  – Computer Science Engineering
  – Material Science / Metallurgy Engineering
  – Applied Physics / Chemistry
• For General Graduate Interns:
  – B.A./B.Sc./B.Com in one of the following:
  – Physics / Chemistry / Material Science / Mathematics
  – English / Economics
  – Library Science / Human Resources (HR) / Finance / Commercial Purchase
• General Requirements:
  – Maximum Age: 28 years (relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India rules).
  – Strong academic record from a recognized university/institute.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or project experience in R&D or defence-related fields.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and data analysis tools.
• For CS/IT interns: Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C++, etc.).
• For HR/Finance interns: Basic knowledge of organizational processes.

Salary and Benefits

Stipend: ₹9,000 per month.
Duration: Up to 12 months (extendable based on performance).
