Key Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on the mechanism of chaperonin-assisted folding of the RuBisCO large subunit.
• Perform protein expression, purification, and molecular cloning tasks, including site-directed mutagenesis.
• Carry out protein-protein interaction studies to analyze molecular mechanisms.
• Utilize Cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) for data collection and analysis.
• Employ computational simulation software like Gromacs for molecular modeling.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, analyze data, and contribute to scientific publications.
• Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and other team members to meet project milestones.

Required Qualifications

• A Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, or Zoology from a recognized university.
• Demonstrated experience in core molecular biology techniques, specifically protein expression and purification.
• Proven expertise in conducting protein-protein interaction studies.
• The maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and female candidates as per government regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cryo-EM data processing software such as Relion or CryoSPARC.
• Proficiency in using model-building software like ChimeraX for structural biology.
• Familiarity with computational simulation tools, particularly Gromacs.
• A strong publication record in relevant, peer-reviewed journals.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary and benefits package designed to support their research efforts.
Monthly Salary: Rs. 47,000/- per month.
Additional Benefits: House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided as per the prevailing SERB-DST norms.
